This printer only prints 5/minute! We were told it would print 25-55/minute! We have print mail merges of 5000 envelopes, it is taking forever! Any suggestions on changing settings? Yesterday, for about 10 minutes it was printing really really fast, but not anymore! Any ideas?

I was printing Business Cards, it was about 11 MB and it took more than 5 minutes to print the first page out of three and five minutes in between.

Kyocera printing very slow

Has it always been slow, or is that a recent development? At its fastest, the FS-2000 only prints 31 pages per minute, and that's for regular single-sided 8.5" x 11" with no special requirements. Anything else will (thick paper, longer paper, duplexing, etc.) will slow the print speed down.

One thing you can try to speed up the print speed is to change your spool options in the print driver. Go into the print driver (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes, right click on the FS-2000 and select Properties) and find where the spool options are located. Try selecting different spool options (such as waiting to send the job until all the pages have spooled, or sending it page by page) to see if any of them affect printing speed.

There are other options in the print driver's properties which could affect printing speed as well. Look around the different tabs and try changing some of the options to see if they make any difference.

You can also go to Kyocera.com and download and install the newest version of the print driver, which might speed up processing as well.

Hope that helps!

My Kyocera FS-C5030N is printing blank pages

there are a good few possibilities... your cheapest route is to call a local service tech... anything I tell you is going to cost you more... call him and see what he says... but I am leaning towards bad ram best case and worst case a blown main board...

Printer queue

I have seen things similar to what you describe. Most likely it is due to a PC setting that retains jobs in the queue. Conceivably, if you have a hard drive in the printer, it is a setting that may be corrected by logging in to the printer's IP address. I have not ever seen it caused by the printer, alone.

Printer

Check cable is secure from pc to printer

Check printer can print a status page via printer keypad and is online/ready

If these are ok then it is a print driver issue

Turn off printer, Unplug usb, delete and reinstall print driver
