The power switch / record button on my JVC GR-SXM920U S-VHS-C camcorder has broken off and the rubber cup under it has been lost... can I get replacement parts?

the ccd image sensor of your camera is the problem...i know it is free for replacing that sensor..that trouble is also in sony,canon,samsung and the other cameras brand cause the manufacturer of their sensor is only one company that why they recall it from the batch of 2002 to 2004..log on to the jvc costumer care to see all the detail...

i'm sorry i dont have a suggestion, but i do have a problem with the focus on my camcorder everything works except the picture on it. and i've bought the vhs-c vcr converter tape to go with it. i would like a manual for it and cant seem to find the right sight to print off a manual

Need to know what Cassette for this model jvc gr-sxm245

You can use VHS-C (C for compact) or S-VHS-C cassettes. The S-VHS-C is Super-VHS, for better quality recordings, but there isn't that much in it compared to digital. I'm assuming your camera has the S-VHS capability, as the title, otherwise stick to VHS-C.

I cant find a solution but causes may be :
1. Did you remove the LENSE CAP ?
2. PRobably there is a small switch that tells the camera that LENSE CAP is on or something dunno

About that recording problem
1. LCD Broken?

Record problem

There are two things 1.there is a push switch under the cassette holder may be brocken 2.cassette holder is bad.put a cassette and press on cassette holder then try this way you can make sure which part is bad.

My GR-AXM18 JVC Compact VHS w/LCD Screen isn't recording!!

Blue means that there is no signal. It can be that the head is dirty. Use a cleaning casette, (do not use cotton swab and alcohol)
