LE code on Kenmore washer
An LE error code is displayed when the tub fails to spin. The error code indicates that the motor can't operate properly because you've overloaded the washing machine, or a foreign object is stuck in the tub.

Why is an LE error code displayed on my washing machine?

According to the service manual,

Daewoo Washing Machine Error Fault Code = LE
Fault Detected: Washing Machine Door Open
Washer Has Detected: Washing machine detected door as open or not locked
Check / Repair / Fix = Close door – Door lock switch – Door latch – PCB

LE error code. The machine thinks the door is open. If it's not, then the switch or control board is faulty.

LE error code: This indicates a locked motor condition. Please check the following conditions. Large loads of laundry can put a strain on the motor causing the LE error code. Try removing some clothing and restart. Excessive suds can cause the LE error code. Make sure the customer is using an HE (High Efficiency) detergent. They should decrease the amount of detergent until the machine washes without suds. A few bubbles can be expected. Areas that have �soft� water will usually need to use less detergent. If you suspect that excessive suds are the problem, let the machine stand for 30 min (motor cool down) and then run a rinse and spin cycle before restarting the load. If these directions are followed and the code persists, the machine will likely need service. .
