disconnect all the cabled from the printer and leaving behind only the power cable. Then try turning on the Printer. If it still doesn't turn ON then it means that its a hardware fault. Please consult HP for it. But if in case it does turn ON (the chances of which is very less) then it could be a software issue with the computer. Let me know what happened.
try removing the front panel make sure the button isnt clogged with dust or disconected failing that it may well be your power supply internal fuse which can be repaird but a trick job if youare not very good with a soldering iron you may get a replacement one on ebay.
These ports can get quite hot & things attached can draw up to 1 Amp of current, and this can make things quite warm over time... as it draws heat away from the device. Keep an eye on it though.
I'm sorry to tell you your hub cannot be fixed. I have one just like it and have taken these things apart and repaired simple factory errors as loose wires and the such.
You should get yourself another Targus brand USB hub. They are good and quite reliable
Reinstall your USB drivers: Navigate to Device manager, find a branch named "USB Controllers" or similar Right click the one thats the problem (or all of them if you dont know which), select Uninstall Reboot your machine and windows will autodetect the USBs and reinstall their drivers.
