you should not refill freon, first because it is illegal. second, if you need a recharge it will just leak out again. third, to do it correctly will require braising with an acetylene torch.
you have first put in a line tap. If the freezer system has been open it must be put in vac. to get moisture out. Then with interior coil exposed put in a few oz and start compressor. with compressor running add while watching interior coil/ you add slow til coil frosts to 3/4 then your done
Has this happened suddenly? Look at the shelves to see if there is a frost line. If the shelves that also carry the Freon appear to have a frost line your freezer may have a Freon leak. Yes the door gasket is replacable. check the flor of the freezer if it is caked with ice your defrost drain is clogged
if not
take off the back panal
under the machine follow the drain tube
to the drain pan clean out your duck bill and make sure the tube is in the pan
I have some experience in refrigeration (since I was 16 to now ,I'm 41 years old) and we only replace the grommets when replacing the compressor ,I don't recomended to do that in that little room ,you can bend or break a copper pipe and then will be a big problem.
YOU COULD GO TO THE AUTO ZONE AND BUY A TAP VALVE AND FREON 134A CHARGE IT THROUGH THE LOW SIDE SHOULD READ 5 AND HIGH 150 USE 134A. IT MIGHT WORK FOR A FEW MONTHS TO A YEAR IF NOT LONGER BUT YES IT HAS A LEAK THE CONDENSOR IS BUILTIN AND MADE OUT OF STEEL AND IT RUST THROUGH OUT THE YEARS THEY SHOULD OF USED COPPER NOT STEEL
