Your backlight inverter is bad. The backlight inveter is the board that turns on the backlight on the tv so that you can see it. You would have to open up the tv to get the part number. it is usually on the far left or right of the tv attached to teh screen.

several things, cooling fan out, bulb going out, lamp ballast or the power supply board could be failing. call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.
samsung dlp tv hlp4667w still picture and white lines over picture with no sound, i turn it off and then on by unpluging the tv and it worked. the picture is shaky from right to left. there is no response from the remote or the main switch on tv when this happens.

My shop had this problem yesterday. We had to change the DMD to correct it. One of the data lines was being drawn down intermitently.
This doesn't eliminate the digital PCB, but, we have seen the DMD do this more than a digital.
