Unfortunately being that it is a sharper image there is no fix for disk errors. It means the flash memory has become unusable. The only thing you can try to do is.
format the disk and see if it works from there.
These arent really electronics that are able to be fixed on the consumer level nor is it cost effective on this unit. How long have you owned the unit? if it is still under warranty send it back for replacement. If not i would buy a new mp3 player and go with a more name brand company such as Phillips or someone that provides firmware and software that allows disk errors to be fixed on a consumer level.

Connect the mp3 player to your computer through the USB cable, go to My Computer and along with your C Drive and your D Drive, you should see a Removable Disk (tipically E: drive). Right click on your removable disk and select Format. This WILL ERASE all your data on the player, but there's no alternative. Problem solved!
Next, drag and drop (or copy/paste) some files onto the player...

With music (or whatever)playing hold down V button (left hand side of control circle)til volume adjustment screen comes up-a blinking speaker. Press PRE or NEXT button (top and bottom arrows) to adjust volume.
