I have no ideal how old your watch is nor where you had the battery changed. Ideally I would take back to whom changed the battery to see if it was a good battery. If your watch is older it may be time for an adjustment.

I see that this watch gets it's time signal from Boulder, Colorado so it will only work properly in North America. Perhaps they also do models for the European market - if so I would expect them to work in the same fashion so the manual should still be relevant.
