Just moved in and cant light af16n gas fire any ideas ?

if the flame goes out fast like that the dryer has to be cleaned out and also check the vent line,all a dryer does is move air if it's blocked and can't move air the flame won't stay lit.that's a gas dryer it should be taken apart once a year and cleaned so this doesn't happen and also so you don't have a fire.check the duct where the lint filter slides into and you can remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,if the gas stays on then you know the block is in the vent line.make sure there isn't a cage outside or a birds nest isn't in the vent these are common things that happen.

Try to crank it without throttle to get the gas out. Pause, try to start.

no gas pressure ,,,,check main supply valve to on position

your boiler needs a minimum gas pressure of 16 mb to light successfully. if your gas pipe has been extended it has to be able to flow enough gas. it may need upgrading to 28mm for even as little as a metre from the gas meter. if your central heating works ok when the fire is off then this is your problem

your gas has expired , look at bottom of canister check the date. buy new gas also make sure cap on gas canister is down all the way till it snapps new gas doesnt come with cap down all the way

Could be the thermocouple not working is this not down to the landlord to fix

you prob need a new theromocuple on your pilot or just cleen it with sandpaper this may help

Bleed the air out of the line. Before trying to light after bleeding, wait approx 15 minutes.

Your O2 sensors may be freaking out. The O2 sensors tell the ECM how much fuel to send through the injectors. When the O2 sensors quit working right, the ECM has no idea what to do with the fuel. Do a fuel pressure test as well. If the pressure regulator is working correctly, it'll go through alot of fuel as well. You should be at 40 psi. When running you should be at 37 psi.
