Stops filling and gives F1 code - Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer

you will need a new machine motor controller part# W10189966 which is located in console
Three screws in back of console and head completely flips forward.

Ok the Cabrios have alot of problems. In your owners manual there is a big page where it gives you errors codes and what to do it also givees you a diagnostic feature which helps determine the problem. This site gives you the fault codes and what to replace. F1 means primary control failure. Also sometimes when the control board is bad something else could also be wrong. Good Luck

The manufacturer has issued a remedy for the F-1. What you do is empty the machine of water and unplug it. Open the control panel and remove the pressure hose. Blow out the hose to remove sediment . Re secure it to the control and retry. No parts needed. F-1 Error info

Yes changeing the valve will fix it . around £30. On one occaision only I have come across the detergent dispensor top being blocked up enough to slow down the fill. on your machine it allows 5mins if this is exceeded F1 is displayed and prog stopped.

This is a pressure sensor issue on the machine control board .The only sure fix is to replace the machine control board which has been updated numerous times.( whirlpool is very aware of the problems) At one time whirlpool was assisting owners who had this concern .

I too was having the same problem and I almost paid to have it repaired, which would have cost a few hundred dollars, thanfully I called the recall line after reading some of the other post on here and my machine was elgible for a upgraded on the control panel so didn' t cost anything for us. Sears told us that the F1 code is a miscommunication in the control panel, basically the machine is confused and don't know what to do so it stops and gives that code. Hope it helps!

YES! Serious problem...more annoying than anything else. Wait until your machine stops at the spin cycle and displays "F1" again. We just had a repair tech out today and received a quote of $384+ to fix/replace the circuit board. Kenmore & Sears are fully aware of this problem and have issued a recall on a model that is one digit off of the model I have yet they will not do anything about this even though it is the same problem. These machines are huge dogs!

I have the f51 code filled up with water and stopped. They are coming today to fix it. Called whirlpool and they are fixing this at their expense. I have the extended warrenty they said they are fixing codes f1 and f51

It sounds like the tilt cut off may be to blame. If you put the bike into self diagnosis mode it will give you a code. This code can be checked and the offending sensor replaced. The tilt sensor in the tail piece is one sensor that turns the fuel pump off and so stops the engine.

a F1 code means you have a bad control board.
