Hi, we cannot print to the Ricoh Aficio 2022. I have connected to the printer by pinging the IP address of it and it is OK. The 2022 can still photocopy. I have tried a test page and nothing prints.

Are you sure no other device on your network has the same IP address? (Turn the copier off and trying pinging that IP address to make sure.)

Do you have the Ricoh 2022 driver installed? You can download it from Ricoh-USA.com if you don't have it.

    Hi there, definitely only this on that IP address. I already disconnected the CAT5 cable when pinging and the pinging stopped. Once reconnected it continued pinging. I am just about to install a new PCL mini driver - may work !

    Do you have the copier set up as a network printer on a TCP/IP port?

    Hi, it's currently on the TCP/IP. Just seems strange as it's been working for nearly 18 months without any issues and I've even had our IT guy in and he says all is OK at our end with the PCs. We do have the correct drivers installed too.

    That is very weird. If you look at the Ethernet port on the back of the copier, are either or both of the lights (amber and green) on or blinking?

    You didn't install any new firewall software, or change firewall access rules, did you?

Hi there. When you installed the drivers locally to each computer, you should be given the option to select the device as the default printer. I understand that you have not chosen this during your installation process. The best options would be to either install this driver on the server and/or use a logon script to set as the user's default printer upon each log on to their computers.

Hi, to change the IP address of a Ricoh Aficio 2022, follow these steps:

- Press the User Tools/Counter button.
- Choose System Settings.
- Choose Interface Settings.
- Choose Network.
- Choose IP Address.
- To specify an IP address, choose Specify, and then enter the address you want to use. To have DHCP automatically assign an IP address, choose Auto-Obtain (DHCP).
- Exit out of the User Tools screen.

Hi Guys I hae set up IP address and other network related setting. I can't ping to the printer. Not able to get automatic IP address from the DHCP no ping.

Every network printer or print server has a unique IP address associated with it. This address is either configured manually or set using an automatic network protocol such as the boot protocol, reverse address resolution protocol or zeroconf. You can normally find the IP address of a printer on the printer's control panel or by printing the configuration page. Select the printers and faxes tab from the control panel. Right click on the printer those you want to find the IP address and click properties. Then click on the ports tab to display the IP address of your printer.

How can i assign a ip address to canon ir3025 in windows

open printer properties of some printer and select PORT, go on ADD PORT, and create IP port, then assign it to Canon Ir 3025. Be sure that the same IP, Subnet and gateway are on PC and copier. Under cmd run ping comand, eg. ping 192.168.1.100, and if you have replay without 100 % loss it would be OK.

Reboots when prints

Have you tried a hard power reset of the copier, does it take forever to start? Go to "user tools/system settings/interface settings" make sure your ip isn't conflicting. Delete all your drivers and make sure they're pcl 5 only.

Can't print to network printer

Click

This will let you know if the network can talk to it.

Do you mean you can ping it? If you can't, then disregard, my instructions below

You downloaded the latest "Vista" driver? then you went to"add Printer", Selected "Local Printer", then "create new port", select "standard TCP/IP port" typed in the proper Ip address of the printer? The wizard should find it and show it as using "Ricoh type C adapter" or similar, (if it moves on to the "select generic adapter" something is wrong) select have disk, and browse to the location of the unzipped printer driver, and install

Ricoh Aficio Gets strange IP Address

It must be in DHCP mode. Do you want to set it to a static IP?
"user tools", "System settings", "Interface settings, "Network", "ip address", highlight "specify", then press the button below "ip add", set your ip, press "ok", then press "ok" again with "specify" highlighted to lock in. Exit user tools.
