My daughter has Mitsubishi split type air conditioner, model MXZ-2A20NA. The problem is that one of the unit puts out more cold air than in called for on the remote resulting in a room temperature that can be 5 degrees colder than desired.

Unfortunately these units are not user fixable , beyond checking for power and checking battery in remote. You would need to call a pro who is able to get service information and has special digital logic meters to diagnose and repair .

low on freon, dirty coil, drain problem are the most common, (no particular order) it also could very well be the compressor, however you stated it takes longer to get cold...verify the drains are open and flowing, that all coils are clean, if they are the next call is to your service tech. google ( mitsubishi air conditioner ) you should be able to get all the help you need .. dont forget you need your modal and serial number when you call it will give them the help they need to give you the right answers you are looking for .. once you google mitsubishi , there should be some numbers under what you are lookin for . may even be a picture of your unit .. just tryin to lead you in the right direction ..

Run the humidifier to maintain a humidity level no greater than 60%RH.
