I have the same problem. I turned it on and got the red flashing power indicator light and that is it.

The picture just cut off in the middle of watching a program. We've tried replacing the batteries in the remote. We've TRIED to turn the TV off and on on the set itself, but there is no response. My son turned flipped off the circuit breaker and we got it back for a couple minutes and it went out again. Now nothing works. The red indicator light for power just keeps blinking on and off.

No sound or picture now

The set may have shorted the horizontal out put transistor since it kept coming on sometimes. This could be cause by the driver transformer arcing causing a "spike" in voltage going to you horizoltal out put transistor. Stargazer
