Solution for Sony Bravia KDL 46EX723 blinking red light 8 times. Information below is from Sony online support, it worked for me: Please disconnect the Internet connection from the TV and your TV will work fine.
We
are suspecting a network outage issue on Sony device, we are currently
investigating this issue. I am really sorry for the inconvenience
caused.Unfortunately we don't have any ETA on this,I request you to try
at a later time.

Bottom line for the extra connectivity and DLNA certification i would go with the Bravia Z-Series KDL-40Z4100/B 40-Inch 1080pBecause if you connect this to your in home network you can stream music videos and music off you PC onto your TV without the need for extra wired or memory cards etc.
Otherwise if you don't need this feature the other options are identical on the other TV so it is just as good a choice.
no you cannot change the HD to 1080p . if you could why would there be any 1080p sales???? most people cant see the differance between 720 and 1080p and most sat./and cable HD is only 720p anyway
