Hi everybody,
I have a AL2216W Acer LCD monitor connected to my HP machine with XP os through VGA D-connector. When my system was IDLE for a long time the LCD screen went blank. After some time when i touched the keyboard, my system came on running, but no display in LCD. Restarted the system, but in vein.connected the LCD to other computers which are running but the screen is blank with the power LED blinking in green colour.
Please somebody help me to sort out the issue. I was using the resolution of 1680X1050.

LOOKS LIKE A BURN SOLDER !! , open the monitor , check the PC BOARD around the transformer area , look for burn spot or cold solder , RE solder it , try again , hope this helps please rate solution and thanks AJ

monitor goes blank screen after sitting will not come on even if you turn the monitor off and on it comes on for a second the goes blank again but you can see the computer on through the screen. It seems like the led is not staying on
I've a Acerr AL2216W LCD hooked up to PowerMac G4 with the same issues. The green light blinks but LCD will not show anything. I tried unplugging and replugging the power and VGA cable.
