Tv red light blinks 7 times wont turn on

I have the same problem and, using your procedure, have identified the VSCAN as the problem. What is the next step? Is there a board that needs to be replaced? Do I need to replace one or more of the individual components (capasitor)? THANKS in advance!!!!!! My TV is less than two years old and I did not purchase any extended warranty :-( Repair shop wanted $250 just to diagnose the problem. HUGE rip off. Next time I'll get the warranty and it won't be a Philips!!

I have seven blinking red lights. Have pulled the back off off the tv and looked at the power supply. It appears fine. Have checked all the fuses and they are all fine. What is the next step? Not sure which circuit board needs to be replaced or how I determine which one needs swapping. Please advise.

    Thanks

I do agree with the tech but if the green led don't come on and the 7-blink error code is still there. check the connector from the logic board that will be the board under the small signal baord. The small signal board have the AV input on it. Check the connector from the logic board to the power supply there should be one connectore btween those 2 boards. On the power supply side second pin from the left it will say Vs_On if the set has 0 volts the proble is the SSB or the logic board. how to determain that is to Use 2 Jumpers to short J8003 & J8004 on the left edge of the PSU (see figure below).
Use 1 Jumper to short CN2012 on the lower left part of the Logic PCB (this will supply a 100% White signal to the Display).
Plug in the AC to the PSU thru CN8001.
If PDP panel operates with White field screen then problem may be the SSB.

Error 7 is a power related problem. This is what u need to do.
Remove back cover.
Plug in power when tv goes into error protection, check power supply and see how many times the led flashes. Right below the flashing green led there is a list 1-13 of error codes and what they mean. Your problem will probably be an error 7or 8 VSET or VSCAN . Which ever error code it gives you VA VSET or VSCAN or whatever it indicates look at the cable connectors to the power supply unplug that connector and the TV will stay on. And there will be your problem.

Tv will not come on. Red light blinking on bottom left front. Red light blinks 7 times

I have the model Philips 37PF7320A/37 won't turn on and MOST articles on the Internet say it's the Capacitors capictors capictors..I checked all of them. My tv just blinked red lights, had the clicking sound at first power on, but then goes black. No sound. No picture. Nothing. Just blinking red lights.

MINE WAS RESISTOR no. 3318 , a 100 OHM RESISTOR ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD.

I BOUGHT REPLACEMENT FOR .99 CENTS SOLDER IT, AND EVERYTHING WORKED!!!

THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK.

JUST A SUGGESTION..
1. CHECK FOR BULGING CAPACITORS (90 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM)
2. THEN CHECK FOR RESISTORS WITH MULTIMETER ( FALLS INTO THE OTHER 10 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM.)

TELL ME IF THAT [email protected]

90% of the time this is capacitor related in the power supply, Remove the back and check for capacitors that are domed shaped on top, Replace these and all should be ok.

Philips 42PF7320A blinks 3 times every time i hit the power button

The SSB is small self contained board that u connect your Antenna, and HDMI to. An error three is a communication error between the SSB and to Logic board ( located underneath the SSB on the back fo the plasma panel that is just below the power supply. U can check parts.com and see if u want to purchase a SSB for this TV. Is the 3blinking lights coming from the front of the TV. Also check the power supply and see how many times the green led blinks on the upper left of the power supply and let me know.
