For some strange reason, I cannot delete the calendar and memo entries. When I erase them, it disappears at first, but as soon as I exit out of the calendar and go back into it, all of the things that were deleted are back!!! It's driving me nuts... any solutions??
Can't delete calendar, memo, or alarm settings or change them. When deleting an entry it says entry was deleted, but when I reopen the calendar its back. When attempting to change entry it defaults to the date of 01 00 1980, and won't allow any changes. Very frustrating and will eventually use up all memory rendering the calendar useless.
I have tried the system software upgrade (dial up to cell service), removing the battery, and manually resetting the phone to factory settings... all of which have no effect.
I took the phone into my service provider (Verizon) where they did a manual software upgrade, which deleted all the old calendar entries, but I still have all the same issues described above.
I have sent several email to Samsung, but have yet to receive a reply. Can't delete calendar, memo, or alarm settings or change them. The best way is to transfer the Calendar and Contacts to Outlook. The iPhone can then be synced with Outlook.
Unfortunately, tasks and memos do not transfer. You will need to find other 3rd party apps that are supported on the iPhone and transfer your data to them.
Two examples are:
1. Evernote - This is good for memo. You can export your memos and then import them into Evernote. unfortunately, when I did this, it was a bit tricky. I even had to write a little PERL script to create the format that it wanted.
To Reset Code Memo:
1. From the standby screen Press Menu to enter into main menu and scroll to Organizer.
2. > More > Reset.
3. Reset Code Memo? Appears. > Yes.
4. The Code Memo gets reset. The earlier entries are cleaned.
5. Begin by opening the Code Memo for the first time when you enter the Code Memo again.
all the info i can give you. you cant manually reset it
reset settings
Reset default settings for all options except the
unlock code, security code, and lifetime timer:
settings> phone settings>Reset>Reset All Settings
delete data
Caution: This option erases all information you
have entered (including contacts and calendar
entries) and content you have downloaded
(including photos and sounds) stored in your
phone’s memory. After you erase the information,
you can’t recover it.
This option does not delete SIM card information:
s >u Settings > Phone Settings > Reset > Delete All Data
delete SIM card information
Caution: This option erases all information you
have entered (including contacts and calendar
entries) and content you have downloaded
(including photos and sounds) stored on your SIM
card. After you erase the information, you can’t
recover it.
s >u Settings > Phone Settings > Reset
> Delete Memory Cards
The closest I have come has been from a firmware update for the Palm phone. After the update, the phone saw my original contact list and created a second contact list from what was present in the Palm calendar.
If you have changed firmware and this issue started happening, you'll need to delete the duplicates in Outlook or it will continue to try and update/save them. Also, this is most likely why your sync sessions are taking more time...the phone is trying to read the different entries already present in outlook, and it is taking time to default when it cannot open the entries. Multiply that time by 4 or 5 times per entry and you have a very long sync session.
your t5 is UNSTABLE possibly due syncing to an old username from an old PDA.
To correct this:
-delete manually the doubles (PDS has a tool but none for outlook)
-perform hard reset on your t5
-hotsync - creating a new user name (do not use the old one)
-you will be asked to use the same profile name for the outlook
Then you should be good to go.
