To unlock the monitor controls and get rid of the lock you can press and hold the menu button in for 20 seconds. You can also try the information listed in the link below.

Monitor controls locked message on screen

Hi John,

The monitor controls can be unlocked by pressing the OK button on the monitor for 10-20 seconds. If this step wont remove the message, press the power button for 10-20 seconds.

OSD Main Controls Locked

Hold the "OK" button for about 20 seconds

It will initialy come up with the message "OSD Locked" and then after the 20 seconds a ne message will appear "OSD Unlocked"

that depends on the brand and model of monitor ,
it normally takes 2 buttons pushed at same time to unlock it.
if you have side buttons its normally them.

Samtron 56V monitor

Even i was also having the same problem. We can unlock the control lock by holding the menu button for 10-20 seconds.... But now my problem is the message "Controls locked/" appears continuously. Screen width also reduced. If anyone know the solution for this please help. thanks in advance.

change the eprom (A41dDC) after connect pc then switch on monitor

Monitor displays "Controls Locked"

This is a "feature" they include to prevent accidental changes to the screen setup. You should be able to unlock the OSD by pushing the Menu button and the right arrow button together for about three seconds. The message "controls unlocked" should appear. Hi,

Press and Hold the Menu button (which is towards the left of Power button) for 20 seconds until it displays "Monitor Controls Unlocked" on the screen.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it doesn't work. :( I'm holding the button (next to the power button on the left side.) For 20 sec. But still locked.
