I also bought the Digital Labs TV/DVD combo. I bought the floor model with no remote, box or manual. The universal remote I bought is not working and the auto-scan is not finding any channels. Do you have any suggestions? I've searched the internet looking for the Digital Labs website or phone number and found NOTHING!. Model# DT496SA / S# I09A08933 / 19" HDLCD TV/DVD combo. I'd love to know how to contact them directly or which universal remote works with this brand. Thanks

Hello With a universal remote control, we can't get allthe functions do work as its orginal one. You have to check other codes for Apex, described in its user manual. Check other codes, and see which one will do best to get most functions with the TV. OK.
Have you make sure you were sent the correct one, according to the info for the model you give the replacement remote should be a 72796929 and it's available through the partstore.com for about 10 dollars. If you got a universal or programable remote then you'll have to try the code search procedure listed in the instruction manual. If you have the correct remote(part number) then there is a problem in the IR receiver panel or the IR receiver itself. If you have a universal remote you might want to try the dvd codes also because you have the combo/TV
Wish I knew the answer ... I have the same problem after switching to Dish Network (Satellite). It worked fine with Time Warner Cable. I'm suspecting the signal over Dish is analog (NTSC) which is not supported by this particular TV. I wish I still had the box and receipt!

Wow - unbelievable - they should be sued. I just bought a floor model that had been returned. The returnee did not return the remote or the manual, so it appeared to be a great buy. Now i believe they bought it purposely for the purpose of taking out the remote and manual and then returning the pc for a refund. Got on here and saw your post, because we too could not find a remote that would work on this tv/vcr combo. - RIDICULOUS!!!
