How to work my washer?

I have a Kenmore heavy duty 70 series and I use the normal cycle always. If you are looking at the washer on the dial...well after it goes through all the numbers (10-8-6-4-2) or whatever it stops right before the next dot that says Cold Rinse Only. Now do I have to manually put it on that to rinse and same for spin or is the load done being washed and that is it? I am not sure, I mean the clothes seem clean and there is no water left when it stops but am I even washing the clothes properly? Can someone relate or help me on how to correctly use this washer?

The timer change by itself. You don't have to change anything.
But cold rinse only works if you have the cold water connect to the washer

70 Series Kenmore Washer Agitates in Heavy Duty regardless of switch selection

Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective

I have a kenmore 70 series heavy duty plus. my model number is 82372110. my washer will fill with water but when its time for it to start to agitate it drains the water then fills it and drains it the

Sounds like the main dial is gone on the top control panel. How a washer works, is the water level switch ( the dial that allows you to select the amount of water you want to wash your clothes in) sends a signal to the main dial, when the water level is full to turn on the agitate and the water to shut off. But it is emptying the water instead, so the main dial is skippiing the agitate cycle. If you take the back panel off the top control panel, you will see a mechanism behind the main dial. That is probably what needs to be changed. It costs anywhere from $120 to $180 for the part. You may want to invest in a new one instead but replacing this part should fix your problem as well. It is about a 2-3 out of 5 for someone without experience to fix. Not hard. Have you noticed any whining or abnormal mild grinding coming from the dial itself? This may be a clear indicator that the dial is on its way out.

Kenmore Heavy Duty Series 70 washing machine gets stuck in cycle.

Either your timing motor has broken or the gears that it drives are stripped. The timing motor is easy to replace but if the gears are stripped you will need a whole new dial assembly.

Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Leaking in the back

If you bought a new washer and you still have a leak, i guess it was not the washer but where it drains into. Sink or stand pipe has a leak. unless you are useing the old drain hose from your old washer. Dry up everything and look for the sorse of water with a bright light when the washer drains .
