Maybe out of power and the dc jack is broken take the battery out and if the light dose not flash then go chance its the dc jack.

if with out battery still blinks then there's a short on mother board and or video card is bad. but some times taking out that battery will reset the m/b and get it to work if you are lucky

SOURCE: hp probook 4510s cannot get cd tray open

Maryar,
The tray may have got stuck. It happens. What you can do is look for a small hole on the face of the drive, either on the tray front or just below it. Insert a paper pin through it. The pin will press a lever which will open the tray. If you do it a few times the tray may get unstuck finally. Hopefully.

Whenever i put a dvd/cd in my hp probook 4510s and try to open it, it insteads ejects

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, then close the lid and turn the laptop over and remove the one screw that holds the dvd drive in place on the bottom of the laptop. Remove the Dvd Drive and in about 20 seconds put it back in and Try rebooting to see if it solves the problem.

Your dvd drive might be defective and needs to be replaced. You can find one on ebay. Just put HP Probook 4510s DvD drive in the search.

Once you take the dvd drive out you can also search on the model of the dvd drive. The model will be listed on the dvd drive.

How do I remover the power button cover for my probook 4510s ?

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01905586/c01905586.pdf

That is the link to the service manual for the Probook 4510s. I believe what you're looking for starts on page 64. HP and Dell are both pretty good about putting the service manuals online for anyone to use for reference. For more manuals about the Probook 4510s check out

I can adjust screen brightness in hp probook 4510s laptop

Typically there are two ways: through the keyboard, usually a function button and brighter or darker button, and 2nd in the power settings. Lower screen brightness gives much longer battery life.

I need the location of the master reset button on a hp probook 4510s

Hmmmm, what do you mean by the master reset button and what do you intend to accomplish by pushing such a button. If you're wanting to "reset" your operating system, then you will need to use your recovery partition if you have one, or the recovery discs if they came with your laptop. To my knowledge there isn't a master reset button on your laptop; other than the power button.
