Y iphone wont let me slide to unlock - Computers & Internet

Hi Anonymous,

if sliding your finger across the "slide to unlock" bar won't unlock your iPhone it's possible that your touch screen is (partially) broken.
Try a reboot first: Hold the Power-Button until the "Power off" slider appears. Hopefully you can slide that. If not hold Power and Home-Button for approx. 10 seconds until the phone is off.

If after starting your phone again you can't "slide to unlock" you should see to get a screen replacement.

Try connecting it to your computer and reset to factory settings

you will need to get a new screen put on it because the touch sensor is broken

Unlock the screen.
Press the button on the top of the phone and hold it down.
In approximately 5 seconds a "slide to power off" message should appear.
Slide the slider and power off the phone.

If this does not work take it to an Apple or AT&T store.

my phone is a IPhone 3gs and i cracked the screen a couple of months ago and a couple of days ago my screen started to act really slow and it wouldnt work on some parts and now today my screen wont work nor respond at all. PLEASE HELP ME I REALLY NEED MY PHONE ...!!!!!

you have a broken digitizer my freind, go to youtube and serach for 3g/3gs digitizer replacement, they will tell you how to do it and where to buy one. good luck

let it reset... hold the power button, and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds. :)

Try holding the top power button until unit turns off. Then Hold power button until apple logo appears. It should reboot.
