I am getting error code...NF - Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer

As soon as i lifted the top of the Maytagg 2000 to see if i could remove some of the degree in the cot & cold pipe i noticed that a switch/sensor was hanging. My "NF" code was because of a sensor/switch that fell off the wall of the washing machine. when it fell it must have got lodge between the tub and the wall and cut a wire. I bypassed the cut wire by running it directly to the switch/sensor but keep in mind that it was sunday and we haven't don laundry for a week and come monday i will seek the propped part for a permeant fix """DO NOT ATEMPT THIS IF YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. in conclusion some times look for the obvious.

Thanks for using FixYa. Error NF means No Fill. The washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful. NF indicates No Flow. There is something that is interrupting the inbound flow of water to the washer, either hot or cold. Sometimes this happens when water service in the area is interrupted, creating an air pocket that causing the water valve not to sense water.

Try running the diagnostic test by—

• Press the delicates and heavy soil keys together for 3 seconds.
• You are in the service mode.
• Now, press wrinkle free key, cold water should start entering.
• Then, press the cotton sturdy and hot water should flow.
• To exit the test mode, either unplug the machine or press the delicate and heavy soil again for 3 seconds.
