My tv is old and only has a single antenna connection. I have tried using just the antenna to antenna connection but it doesn't work. How do I get this box to work and how can I hook up my vcr with this connection system.

According to my directions for hooking up the VCR to converter box is to first connect TV antenna cable from TV to antenna out from VCR. Then Antenna in from the VCR to output to TV on the back of the converter box. This didn't work so I hooked up the VCR red white and yellow cable to the back of the TV and then plug into the back of the converter box still no help. I still can't record anything on the VCR. HELP!!!!

I really, REALLY hate commercials so I have three vcrs to record shows I like so I can skip thru the commercials when I watch the shows. I live in very rural West Virginia where cable is not available and Dish does not carry the network shows so I use an outdoor antenna. Any suggestions as to how I can hook up the converter box (or boxes) to record as usual after digital takes over???? Thank you.

Each recording unit must have its own digital box see instructions here

Can't go through the VCR in the normal way. The DTV box must be tuned to the channel you want to record and left there. Cannot tell VCR to tape one channel and watch another nor tape multiple timed and multiple channel shows unless the DTV is tuned to that specific channel. This makes most VSR functions useless.

I replaced my TV and now my VCR Zenith Model 2100 will not record

Digital TV can use component video and stereo connections to record on analog VCR. Analog VCR needs DTV converter to record digital TV channels. VCR play back use AV channel on TV.

Trying to control Zenith DTT900 box with Yamaha RX-V463 remote

Since Insignia and LG share compatible codes for digital-to-analog converters, review your remote control's manual for LG VCR codes as they should work to control the Insignia converter.

WHAT IS THE CORRECT WAY TO SET-UP TV, VCR, DVD, & DIGITAL CONVERTER BOX?

Connect the antenna to the converter box. Connect the output of the converter box to the vcr. Connect the output of the vcr to the tv. Connect the dvd to the component input (Red-White-Yellow) of the tv (if there is one. If not then connect the dvd to the component input of the vcr.
With this arrangement you will be able to tape programs on the vcr if you want. If the vcr is not on the signal from the converter box will pass through to the tv.

Need to hook up dvd/vcr combo with converter box

Connect your rabbit ears to the Insignia. Connect the Insignia to the antenna input on the "cvd/vcr combo". Now turn on the television to show the "cvd/vcr combo".

The Insignia simply goes between your antenna and your television. In your case you also have a vcr so if you want the VCR to be able to play and record digital stations you will need the Insignia between the vcr and the antenna.

Connect tv vcr and dvd player to digital converter box

Yes you can first connect the converter box to the antenna first. Next hook the tv out on converter box to vcr in on vcr. Next hook the vcr out to the tv in and watch vcr and converter box on channel 3 sometimes channel 4.on the actual tv and of course change channels with converter box remote. For dvd player hook it straight to tv with red, white, and yellow cables that come with your dvd player. Then to watch dvd player if it's hooked up that way you have to put your tv on a input like video 1 or input 1. This can be done by using the tv remote and looking for a button that says tv/video or input or source button. This is some common names for that button on tv remotes.

Vcr & dvd & a CONVERTER BOX

Right, you don't have to plug DVD/VCR to box, just straight to TV to operate. If you wanted to record hdtv programs from the box to the vcr or a dvd recorder then connect box to vcr/dvd recorder to TV.

Vcr dvd recorders

I assume you mean a Digital Reciever. If so, and the Digital box has two scarts, connect as follows:- Connect the VCR scart to the "Input" scart of the DVD, the output scart of this to the "VCR" scart on the Digi-box, and the "TV" scart of this to the T.V. You need BOTH switched on. On the T.V. select to view the scart that the box is on and on the DVD select to view "Scart Input". You will now be viewing the VHS. When you want to view the DVD just change the selection.
