Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems to be the issue with Y-main however, the logic board should also be checked. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you’ll have to open the back of the unit. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. The cost to get this repair will be around $300 and a bit more if the board is replaced. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Thanks for your response. Is the Y-main different from the board? If so, how do I fix the Y-main? Does the $300 price include the Y-main only? So, Best Buy would charge $150 to run diagnostics, and then on top of that another $300, and that's only if it's not replacing the board? What causes this, do you know?
How do I fix the Y-main? You told me about the board. Is the $300 price for Y-main only, plus additional $ for the board?
Thank you. I'll have to have a professional come fix it. I just didn't want to take their word when they tell me what is wrong with it. I'll see if this is what they tell me the problem is. Thanks again.
