If the standby button on your Sinotec STL-32VN23 TV isn't functioning, and the red light remains on without changing to blue, it could indicate a power-related issue or a problem with the standby button itself. Here's how to troubleshoot:Confirm the TV is receiving power from a working power source. If available, try using the TV's remote control to turn it on.If the issue persists, unplug the TV from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in and attempt to use the standby button again. If the problem still exists, it may be due to a technical fault in the TV's power circuit or with the standby button. In this case, it's advisable to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's customer support for further diagnostics and potential repairs.
Try following the steps below. Step 1 Press the power button once. If the TV does not turn on, observe the LED indicator, usually located on the TV's lower front panel. If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.
Step 2 Observe the Standby light if the remote control will not work. If the Standby light stays on, the television is in Standby mode. Press the power button on the television, then try to use the remote.
Step 3 Turn the Energy Saving Switch off, then press the power button. The Energy Saving Switch is located on the rear or side panel on most Sony model TVs. Refer to your TV user manual for the exact location of the switch.
It's normal; if the set do not show a screen at this time. The red light indicates that the set is in standby mode, and it will off, when you hit the standby button again, and the scree will get live. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Sorry I had no idea you sent me this message until today. I apologize for the delay. You probably found a solution by now but if you haven't, please try this..
Solution:
With the PS3 in Standby mode (Red light on), press and hold the Start button until you hear a single beep, followed by double beeps.
Connect the controller using USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
Now, the system restore screen (or whatever they call it) will come up like this
You have several options here for restoring the system, some will unfortunately wipe up all your data, others will make you lose the file naming.
Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI OUT port on the
back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system. Connect the other end of the HDMI
cable into the HDMI Input port of the TV or display monitor.
While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the
front of the system), hold down the
touch-sensitive power button on the front of the system until the system
goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from:
red light --> green light --> then back to red light). This
will ensure that you have held down the power button long enough to
reset the Video Output Settings.
Turn on the PLAYSTATION 3 system and once the system finishes powering
up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard
resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your
TV/monitor).
sounds like you blew the lcd or plasma, I did the same with my Vizio, hopefully you do not have the same problem.,, does the power light stay on and no picture, and if so try and turn the power button off, if it does not shut off, and you unplug it and it shuts off and the red light goes out, and then when turn it back on the red light is out until you turn it on and the same thing happens all over again
Find and replace the following caps, Ec18, 19, 20 / 1000uf/16v, Ec9, 10 / 1000uf/35v, Ec14, 25 / 470uf/35v should resolve the problem. You can get the caps at almost any electronics supply.
This is a common problem in this unit.
Good Luck!

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply. I service these power supplies, for more info write to [email protected]
i fixed this problem by unplugging the monitor, unplugging the video cables. Then hold down the power button while plugging it back in. Release power button and then press power button for on. It worked then. I got the icon for no signal, i plugged back in my monitors. Sceptre X9W
