My Ge Force will burn audio but not DVD.I have tried with Ashampoo,Record Now and Express Burner.The burning programme tells me there is no disc in drive

You will need a burnable cd /dvd rw disc and cd dvd rw drive and burning software there are lots of these freeware on the web here is just a few you might try if you dont have a burning program
if you dont have two cd / dvd drives to do a copy disc

you will need to create a folder to copy the music to then burn it to a disc

to make a folder right click in my documents select new folder you can name it lets say my music blues for the sake of this exercise

click start all programs accessories open windows explorer navigate to your music cd

select the cd right click copy and then paste the music into your newly made folder folder or

click and hold the cursor and drag and drop the cd into your new folder

if you are downloading data from the internet

once it starts downloading windows will ask whether you want to run or save it
a browse option will open you can save it into your folder in my documents

once you have done this open up your burning software depending on which it is you can choose either a data cd or dvd or burn an image you would select the option make an audio cd or music cd depending on the burning sofware

The beam to burn a CD is more (wider) than that for DVD.

First off try a lens cleaner but be aware these are not always succesful and avoid any abrasive types of lens cleaner as that will make theproblem worse.

If that faile you are looking at replacing the laser assembly or replace the whole drive.
The cost difference is not always worth the laser assembly approach and quite often a new one is a better path

1. What Program are you using to burn disc with?
2. What format is the music in?
3. Have tried to burn disc using Windows Media Player checking?

It occurs frequently with many music files downloaded of the net, whether converted prior too or while burning or burning the original file format..

I have tested so many programs, I love my music and quality is a priority, the easiest and most convenient to use was one of either AShampoo 6 which is totally free, also using the same company, AShampoo 9 free trial. Having a similar problem to yours, I mentioned the difficulties to AShampoo; they sent me a copy of 9 to use, full version.

Anyways let me know these answers, 9 out of 10 times these issues usually are solved simply by downloading the same music again from a different source.

if you download the free version of ashampoo burning studio9 it will burn cd's in the "au" audio format that cd's use. You must also make sure the car stereo will actually play a cdr disc, as some don't.
