Loading A5 paper - Epson Office Equipment & Supplies

what do you mean with A5 paper? do you want to scan an A5 sized picture, or put a picture on A5 sized paper?

You can get special overhead film for your Epson printer. It is coated for use in your printer, and has a backing sheet so the paper sensor can see that paper is loaded.

At the bottom of the printer you will find the paper cassette. Pull the handle and the cassette will slide out. Eventualy you will need to ajust the size of the paper.

The paper you have inserted into the printer, and your page size settings have to match. You can't load A4 paper and tell it to print A5 size. This is why it is printing so small on the A4 paper. It assumes you need to trim it down to A5 size after printing.

Go to the control panel and open tyour printer folder.

Right-click default printer and select properties.

sleect the paper tab and configure the printer to print on a size A5 paper.

Then click apply.

Make your machine compatible with A5 paper. Go to Menu and then paper Alignment and click A5.

Unfortunately, there is no proper way to do what you suggested. In any paper tray-style printer, sensors must be used to determine the entrance and exit of the paper as it passes through the machine.

Based on basic printer theory-of-operation, the printer would normally just jam and throw a code. The printer, surprisingly enough, detects your paper as A5, which is the closest to the actual paper you are using. That is actually very intelligent for the printer to determine that.

Anyways, you technicially can just tell the printer to print off of A5 paper at all times and that may solve your problem. Just go through the menus in both your printer's control panel and Windows/Mac printer dialogs to make the change.

The only proper way to use custom-half-sized paper is to use a top-loading inkjet printer. Those have no paper-length sensors and will print on literally anything you throw into it.

paper guide was set at A5, then this allowed menu to change feed tray selection

your printer is capable of accepting a5, load the paper on a different direction, with the leading edge 5.83" feed first, then properly aligned the side guides to match your paper this will surely work this time, then slect a5 on your printing properties on your pc
