This could probably help you................... till you get a new door mechanism to replace your door lock/switch. Which is available on the net, quoting your make and model. And which you can easily fix yourself.
I have a Kenmore Elite he4t front load washer that was working fine and then we moved and now it stops washing midstream and flashes an F and a H. I have to pause and restart then it will stop washing again after a few minutes and flash the same codes again. I reset again and then it stops with 1 minute left and will not drain.
The code "dl" stands for "Door Lock". This was a problem with my machine also. Check to make sure you are only using "HE" type of detergent. In the manual it states that using other detergents than high efficiency will cause computer board miscues.
Unplug the machine for a day or less, then try again. This worked for me for a while. It finally failed (I was using detergents other than all HE) and a repair man reset the washer. This happened last month (June, 08) and now I only use HE and the machine works great.
This is a Door Lock Error.
The service manual lists the following causes:
Door Lock Mechanism is broken or removed from door.
Door Switch Unit Lock Failure-Unplug washer and check door switch, wiring connections, and the connection to the CCU (Central Control Unit (You have to remove the lid of the washer for this).
To get at the switch, you have to remove the lower front panel. These are torx, I believe 3 screws. By turning yourself on your head, you can visually inspect the lock, and manually lock/unlock to check for bind (pulling/pushing a black plastic handle about two inches long with a teardrop shaped handle on the end.
