Hello can you assist I can not figure out why the CX8310 Epson printer won't allow me to feed paper into it.

I had a similar issue and found that a foriegn oblect had fallen into the printer and turning it upside down was able to remove it.

hello, eventually the feed roller will need to be cleaned, it collects paper dust and dust and inks, so becomes smooth, and unable to grab paper properly, cleaning with alcohol, yes it does clean but dries rubber, WD-40, is waht i use, but i allow it to be absorbed into roller, then wipe off the excess, then try feeding paper.

hello, lets see if we can seperate problem with computer and printer, try running printers self test, i am curios if the machine will print properly, turn printer off, then hold paper feed button and turn machine on, paper will feed and print, once the first test pass, if you want to print the rest, press paper feed button, and machine will print and cut paper, this test is rather a little long, but it will give you info regarding paper feed, and cutting as well as impressions. if paper is dragging, check to see if the paper in machine is in correctly, you might want to check this out first, if the paper is in correctly, then problem is feeding, this is a little hard to clean, but you might want to try some isoproply alcohol and put some on the lead in paper, just enough to get paper wet, and try to allow machine to feed in, or maybe, if paper is already feeding in wet some area before going into machine with alcohol, and press feed button, and allow the paper to feed thru. tear off paper and try the printer test again. if still fails then machine has a problem and will need service.

Hello sir; You may go to computer to set up; Hit print then go to preference then paper/quality then you can choice the type of the paper you want to print, good luck.

Possible printhead issue.
Please do head alignment using the driver.

Removed the new paper from feed slot, pressed the on button which allowed the `grabber` to release the jammed paper slightly and then was able to [with the aid of long tweezers] remove the jammed paper through the feed slot.

May be the problem is at paper sensor, that dirty. The sensor is at bottom of head casing. When paper feeding, the sensor not get the light back, so the printer "think" that no paper. Try to clean paper sensor.

Just a thought,as I had a similar problem.The instructions are abysmal,but it may be worth having a look where you feed the paper in and squeezing the grey plastic gizmo,and moving it to the left to allow the paper to enter the feed properly.
