Two wires on my KSFS25FJBT01 refrigerator broke at the bottom hinge and the water and the ice dispencer would not work. I repaired the wires and both worked for a few days and then the ice dispencer quit working. I checked the wiring repair and it is still good and the water works. When I activate the ice dispencer in the cube mode the solenoid works but the motor will not run. The motor runs when 110 V is applied to the terminals.
When in the crushed ice mode nothing works. I checked the switches and wiring for good continuity and everything seems to be ok. Hope you can help.

at the bottom of the door is a grill remove and check the wireing plug for corrosion if it has a lot of green around it you will have to hard wire it wire for wire has bad connection .
First , remove the top freezer door hinge cover ( only held by 1 screw ) . Disconnect the plug there , to remove power to the door . Use a butter knife or flat head screw driver , and pry outward from the BOTTOM of the dispensor control plate . Disconnect the 3 plugs there and set aside . Remove the 3 or 4 screws holding the arm and cover in place , and slide out . Your problem , is probably a rusted coil and plunger , in the top right corner with 2 black wires going to it . The part # is WR62X10055 . Solenoid coil and plunger is the correct term for it . Cleaning will not work for long , only replacing will correct for a long period of time .
Make sure the wires on the left top door hinge are still connected. They are usually under a plastic hinge cover. Sometimes there are wires on the bottom left door hinge that get disconnected when you move the fridge as well.
This is usually a sign that the main pcb in the back of the appliance is failing though it could also be caused by a faulty connection on the wires near the freezer door hinge
???? no ice dispencing?? no llight whenthe paddle is dpressessed?? if this is the case, i would look to the wireharness under the freezer door, there should be quick disconnect just under the refrigerator. after disconnecting check for broken wiring right under the hinge
The Er Co error code signifies a communication error between the display control board on the freezer door and the main power board on the outer back panel of the refrigerator.
Check the wiring and connections between the low voltage interface and the main high voltage board.
If you are able to unplug the refrigerator and remove the cover over the control board on the back of the refrigerator, you can check the wiring connection on the main control board.
If this wiring connection is okay, check the wire harness connection under the hinge cover on the top of the left hand refrigerator door. If these connections are okay, then you will need access the wire harness connection in the dispenser.

you could have a problem with your dispenser module. a burnt pcb that could lead to all of your problems. switches not working, lights not working, dispenser not working, etc.
check your dispenser module and if you find a burnt part or a burnt PCB, then replace it.
check inside the bottom of the refrigerator for water, the water line goes thru the back of the refrigerator and it may have cracked and leaking inside instead of going to the dispenser. if not then water is most likely frozen in the line going thru the back of the refrigerator. look behind the pans in the refrigerator and there should be a coil of clear plastic water line, this is the reservoir that chills the water for the dispenser. sometimes it will freeze up if the refrigerator is very cold.
I have seen this problem before .the wires locted near the bottom hinge have all broken from the constant open and closing of the door causing it to break the wires.
Texas, sounds like your water reservoir is frozen up. Remove your 2 cripser drawers, you will see the reservoir behind them. Take a hair dryer and go over the tank and tubing ends. See if the water starts flowing. I find a lot of frozen water reservoirs on these french door models. They have a insulation kit for them. Catriver.
