Not working as key board button like as below 7890 uiop jkl m

Some where along the line, you have pressed the Fn Nd one of the Fx keys the transforms the keyboard into a number pad. If you look at your keyboard closely, you'll see that some keys have letters and numbers on them. usually on the right of the keyboard. One of the function keys( F keys) is responsible. If you hold the Fn key and tap that key, things should return to normal.

Keys qweruiop not working on startup (first 15 minutes or so) on physical keyboard on HP G60-533CL Notebook PC running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). Keyboard Driver Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft...

Take the computer to a qualified technician, who can replace the keyboard, as the least-expensive "try" at trouble-shooting.

Since a keyboard transmits "codes" to the motherboard,
e.g., left-shift-has-been-pressed, and left-shift-has-been-released,
and the motherboard interprets those codes, it is NOT likely that
the motherboard is misinterpreting the codes, especially given that
the "bad' letters are in a straight line on your keyboard.

Find an external USB keyboard, and plug it in.
If it works correctly in the first 15 minutes, then the problem is NOT the motherboard.

Qwer and uiop keys not working on a dell inspiron laptop. i don't have access to the laptop. i purchased it for my daughter who is away at college. Any suggestions/solutions? Thanks.

Keyboard is more than likely bad. Call dell or your local PC shop to get it replaced. If it is still under warranty Dell will send you a keyboard to replace it with. If you take it to a local PC shop tell them if it is under warranty

The num lock key controls letters on regular keyboard.

Let Number key stay off then you could use normal 1234567890 that is between QWERTYUIOP and F1-F12

Laptop keyboard on lifebook c, replace or fix

It looks like you answered your own question - you really can't fix a laptop keyboard, but you can replace them. (or you can use an external keyboard)

Now is your problem:?
Letters qwert, asdfg, zxcvbn work OK but uiop displays as 456/ jkl displays as 123 and m displays as 0. Other keys also do not display correctly. Or holding the function key down at the same time as the problem keys ?

Then the solution is:
The problem was caused by accidentally pressing the num lock key. Once pressed, it remains locked even after a reboot. Pressing again returns the keyboard to normal.
