Hi, Machine starts but stops continually during first wash cycle. Cycle selected is wash, rinse, spin. Fills for first rinse cycle but goes no further then machine beeps continuously. Fuzzy logic display is lit up at all times but seems is trying to default to full soak, wash, rinse, spin cycle. Clothes were removed and by turning machine on and off over a couple of hours, water eventually emptied. This is third wash in a row problem has happened. Thanks in advance. Regards, Ian

There is no more convenient and effective troubleshooting of a machine other than knowing first the exact model number of the machine. We may not be able to help you determine and address the problem unless the exact model number of the machine is stated explicitly. Troubleshooting may push through only when the exact model number of the is known. You may have stated it in your previous exchange of messages with a fellow expert, if there's any, but I cannot view the transcript of those.

You don't have to accept or reject and rate this post to add information or post comments and follow-up questions should you need further assistance. But accepting a solution does not stop you from communicating with an expert. You may continue communicating with the expert as long as you need assistance regarding the issue stated herein.

Remove the top panel to access and check the connections on the control and the fuzzy logic display including the wiring connection at the pump itself. Reseat the connections several time to clean off dirt and corrosion built-up in the connectors and the terminals. Make sure the wire harnesses are fully inserted. There seem to be an intermittent operation of the machine particularly the pump as stated in your problem description and indicated by the pump eventually emptying the water after turning on and off the machine. Turning off the machine resets it but unplugging it for at least an hour may reset the machine completely and resolve the intermittent operation problem.

How do I fix washing machine to finish emptying during rinse and spin cycle?

Long shot, but does it fill the same as when new? I would check the atmospheric switch which is a hollow tube that runs down the inside of the drum(not in the wash cage) when the water fills, It pushes air up to stop the fill. It may have gotten clogged. Or partially clogged.

Ge washing machine fills up with water on spin cycle

Sounds like the timer is screwed... Sending out the wrong signals and the dryer is doing the rinse cycle when it should just be the spin cycle. Do t know what your timer looks like in that washer but most now days look like the picture. 11_11_2013_2_52_52_am.png

My frigidaire front load washer will start a wash, complete the first cycle but then stop and flash all the lights and beep continously until I press "start" or "cancel". If I press "start" again it just...

Hello there:
If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter

Spin/drain cycle won't start

If the timer gets to the rinse cycle and stops,
Check the lid switch for continuity. If no continuity replace the lid switch.
If the timer continues through rinse and spin without doing either, replace the timer.

Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.
