My Maytag gas dryer makes a loud rattle and clanging noise.

Prob. some failure of a bracket or loose inside...
Have a local tecnician check it out.
i think that ll be best cause i can't imagine that will be an easy fix.

Loud rumble sound, Vent hose vibration

That model of neptune dryer had a problem with the blower housings cracking. When the housing cracks, it binds forward into the blower wheel making a loud "rumble" noise and vibration. If you open the door and manually turn the drum and you hear a rubbing noise and feel alot of resistance, then you have a cracked blower housing and need to replace it. It is not an easy job to replace, so if your not familiar with dryers, you should have a technician replace it. Let me know if you have any further questions. shane

Maytag Neptune dryer increasingly loud.

Sounds like you need new drum rollers installed, when they get old they squeak,squeal, and make loud bumping noises.

Very Loud Dryer

squeeling hi pitch is usually the drum support roller above the heater. if you take the machine apart and turn all moving parts by hand you should be able to find the problem...if its a rumbling noise then it may be the blower wheel. UNPLUG FIRST..good luck :)

the problem is with its motherboard .. i too had the same problem.. ask the repairing persons to change the motherboard if it is warranted. ( but there is no other way)..

Did you check the baffles( fins inside the drum) loose of broken.

Can you turn it by hand and hear the same sound? does it turn easy or very hard...let me know I can help
