My Splendide 2000 combo stops midway in the wash cycle. What is the cause and how can I fix it please?

Can you turn the dial to rinse on another cycle?

Check for a lint build up in the vent hose. Too much will trigger a sensor in the dryer to shut off to prevent a fire.

Your heating element could be out. This could be just a bad element or if you don't hear the fan come in the the dry cycle, the fan probably failed and caused the element to burn out. If your clothes are getting warm but not drying completely then you need to check your exhaust hose and make sure it is not clogged with lint.

I have exactly the same issue. The door normally locks, but doesn't do anything on wash.
