To align your screen
select Settings, System, Align Screen to ajust the touch screen,

If the screen alignment loses calibration it may not be possible to adjust alignment useing the above method.
In that case the align screen command can be executed by simultaneously pressing the power button and scroll button.

useing the stylus when comanded touch the cross hairs and the Pocket PC will align the screen

yes u cant exit the screen until u do the align test for the touch screen its a easy fix on the back of the phone on the left side top there is a hidden pen that comes out of the phone and when u get the pen out use the point of the pen to touch the center of the circle on the align screen test it will ask u to do this in every corner of the screen after that the phone should get out of the align screen test and be able to work good luck

I accidentally click on something and my screen alignment for my HTC mobile phone has run significantly... When I tried to align the screen from the setting, it only write that tap firmly and accurately on the target. the target will continue to move until the screen is aligned. Till now, i tried many times but the alignment is still out

press and hold the lock button on the lefthand side and tap the align screen.

To align the screen tap frimly with the stylus on the X that comes on the screen..it will keep moving its position..do it precisely each time..the screen should get aligned in a short while..hope it helps!regards..

go to start, setup, system, screen, and then click align screen. and then it will give u some small circles to tap on it. u tap correctly on the circles. after few clicks it will automatically tell u that ur screen has been aligned. ur problem is solve by a cute pakistani. pakistan live long. love u.

WHEN I AM SWITCH ON MY POCKET PC IT IS SHOWING ME (ALIGN SCREEN) AND TTAP THE TARGET FIRMLY AND ACCURATELY AT EACH LOCATION ON THE SCREEN .THE TRAGET WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE UNTIL THE SCREEN IS ALIGNED.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM REPLY ME DETAILY

your touch panel could have died and you may need to replace it. i would try updating the firmware too that fixed a similar issue for me

Well, folks i had the same problem with the damn i-mate K-JAM model but i have figured out its solution. Well screen alignment options will always come on ever reset whether it is hard or normal and further more it would be nail biting for most of us because it doesn't work at all. It seems like some sort of a bug either in Windows Pock PC edition or HTC manufacturing bug. Whatever u call it only we would be the victim of it. Here is the solution.  

When the alignment screen comes Just Tag the {+} << in the exact centre it will then move to the top let corner of the screen again tag it from the middle and it will then jump to the lower left corner now don't tag it from the middle instead tag the lower left corner of the screen. It will then move to lower right corner of the screen now tag it again in the middle and finally it will fly to the top right corner now again instead of clicking in the middle just hit the top most right corner of the screen and now u r done. Screen is finally aligned whoops!

Sometimes even when the screen is aligned the touch pad malfunctions if this is the case with you u need to update the firmware like i did just search through Google the i-mate k-jam windows Pocket edition update.

I don't think the scratch has anything to do with the screen alignment. You might end up replacing the screen and the alignment problem will persist. The alignment screen coming up is probably due to other hardware problems, and it should be covered by a warranty if you got even a limited one on the demo, its not your fault for causing the scratch on the screen, it probably has nothing to do with it. you shouldn't have waited a year with this problem. about replacing the screen- try getting a dead toshiba pda that uses the same screen from ebay, one that still has a screen intact, but don't go over your head with replacing it, don't go beyond a point where you don't remember anymore what goes where.
