Hitachi I dont have that meter?? but what can be??? ysus can't be because I have replaced that board and it didn't work xsus?? power board??? Main Logic Board ??? POWER FILTER BOARD??? DIGITAL PROCESSING HDMI??? Can you help me???

If the red light flashes for a while, with a clicking noise while trying to turn on. It's either the ysus or xsus board, they are both easy to replace, my xsus board has blown twice, last board I bought off ebay £35 lasted 2 years. Just bought another for £16 + free postage.

If you can use a screwdriver & disconnect/connect a few ribbon cables & connectors, you'll save yourself £££s

telltale signs are when the tv starts to make a clicking off/on sound while watching tv, without actually turning off, That's the time to look for a spare ysus or xsus board, before it blows. It could last months or weeks but better to be safe.

Takes me 15mins to take the back off, replace the board & put the back back on. & I'm a novice.

Unfortunately, this indicates a technical fault with the TV which can only be fixed by a service engineer.
If the light is blue and blinks 3 times, it is indicating a fault with one (or both) of 2 circuit boards inside. They are the XSUS or YSUS boards and will possibly need replacing.
At least knowing this might help you ascertain a quote as too how much the repair will cost.

if you buy a new pcb it will allready be set to right display aslong as uv not touched pods on ysus or xsus boards

very possible the YSUS board is going bad .If YSUS is going bad .I would also replace XSUS board since they are same age..Also whenYSUS is replaced make sure you make pot ajdustments as old YSUS and also with XSUS board

You can check the voltage through the X and Y sustain boards to see which is damaged.

Be careful buying from a used dealer or someone not as bigas Discount-Merchant is on parts. You may get a part that lasts 1/2 thetime. These boards are like DLP TV lamps, they have a limited lifetimeand if you buy from the wrong place, you will have to replace it moreoften and it can damage other components when it pops!

To test which board is bad you need a multimeter... then test for the following:

1.disconnect the power board from the y-sustain board.. Check input intopower board (is voltage coming in from the wall?) Next, test forvoltage going out of the power supply.

2. Next test voltagegoing to the Y-SUSTAIN BOARD by having everything connected except thelink between YSUS and XSUS. Check for voltage going into YSUS (if powersupply is putting out, then ysus shoudl be receiving).. Next, test forhigh voltage comming out of the YSUS... keep in mind, xsus isdisconnected.

If you get power comming out of the YSUS, this means your YSUS is GOOD and your XSUS is BAD....

If you get no power comming out of the YSUS this means that the YSUS isBAD.. in this case you need to replace your YSUS, however, you XSUS canalso fail when your YSUS blows out.

In order to test yourXSUS, you can use a multimeter to test breaking in the transistormodule that has the big Black or Silver heatsink on it. You can test itby using a multimeter and applying it to the bottom pins of the board.

Your YSUS is overloading, If you take the back of the TV off, its the larger board on the left, it is connected by orange ribbons to two vertical spanning boards that are thin and long, those are the buffers. Looking at your Y main, you'll see four small philips screwdriver adjustment recievers, they are about 1/4 of an inch square, these control the different voltages used by your board. They are tricky to align just right, BE CAREFULL and adjust these slowly with the power to the TV on and see if you can clear up the snow. PLEASE take it easy and watch what you're doing, these boards are running super high volatges and can put you in the hospital or worse. If you don't want to deal with it adjusting it, start by replacing that YSUS board. Usually when either the buffers or the YSUS is bad, it takes the others out with it. If the snow doesn't clear up, replace the buffers. If this still doesn't fix it, you can try replacing the XSUS.

more likey you need parts lit for this set.It includes YSUS.XSUS and Main power board.I will get back to you on this for part number.You will be amazed on price..
