My camera is 4 years old, and works fine on everything except outside pics. Recently I went outside to take a picture and the picture was all white, like the picture I took was there but the whole thing was bright white. Inside pics are fine, movies shoot fine. This just started. Flash on or off the pictures outside are not right. I don't know what to do to fix the problem.

Check if you are using Auto settings. It seems you are using Manual (M) and the exposure time is too long for outside conditions (inside there is less light). Switch the camera to Auto and it should work fine. Please let us know how it went.
If you still have few days warranty, call Fuji at 1-800-800-3854 , select option 1 and register your product, or check the website. They will tell you if the camera is still on warranty. Here also US website.
the image is all white or has lines through it.Definitely sounds like a repair issue, and has been a previous problem with the camera in the past. There is a defect in the sensor of the camera, and happens quite frequently in this model. I would try and contact Canon about it, and see if they'll repair it for free. If not, its probably going to cost more than the camera is worth to repair it.
Sadly, most digital cameras don't have a reset button like it older more reliable elders. But, most digital cameras have a "menu" button or a "review" button. If either of these are still working and can be seen on the display screen then your problem lies within the lense or digital shutter. If you can't see anything at all, even the "Menu" or "review" your problem is much more extensive. If so, you can NOT fix this yourself without ruining it more.
I can say that most of the camera shops can refurbish it for you for a lower price. Or you can purchase and already refurbished camera for about half have you paid for the new one.
Hope I helped.
