Sony Eye Toy Camera for Playstation 3 Logo
Posted on Sep 15, 2010

Hi. I connected the playstation eye to my ps3, and the blue led light is blinking on the camera. But when starting one of the games, it says no eye is recognized. I bought the playstation move starter pack today, so the camera is brand new. Please help! Thank you in advance!

I have the exact same problem. It worked for several hours and then suddenly I have this... litteraly after closing one game and going into another it just suddenly is no longer recognised by the PS3... yet the motion controller is recognising my movements to be able to move through menus... so surely this means the camera is working??

Alternating red and white blinking light on earpiece for afterglow pl-6360 then shuts off. Unit should be fully charged. Help!

Alternating red and white LED colors indicates that it is not detecting an active bluetooth connection. Use the PS3 bluetooth settings to find and reconnect the signal.

It will not play my games or movies. play demo games

Chances are the blue ray eye is burnt out very common problem. When the disc enters the eye blinks to see there is a disc. Then the motor starts spinning the disc. The eye then figures out if it is a blue ray or a regular disc. If the eye is dirty or burnt out the disc will not spin. Try cleaning the eye first. You might have to tear apart to do if regular laser cleaner disc doesnt work. I have the 40 gig version and it is a paper weight for now. There are replacement eyes and motors for them for around $70. Only recommend this if you are familiar with electronics and are comfortable doing this. You will have to tear apart the system down to the blue ray drive. then tear apart the blue ray drive. There are plenty of you tube videos on how to do this. No you can not just change the whole blue ray drive because the drive is paired with that mother board.

My playstation eye camera is not recognized by the ps3 and the red light isnt on only the blue light HELP

Hi,did you install the drivers of the eye camera that your using? I guess that's the problem.

When you install the drivers of the eye camera, it will make the system recognize the eye camera.

Hope that helps.

Ps3 controller will not reset i link it up with console lights just blinks then i press the reset button it cuts off then i unplug it their is no lights

Try connecting it to the PS3. After the 4 leds start flashing, disconnect the power from the PS3. Re-connect the power. That usually resets that for me.

Disk tray won't stay in

Your PS2 is definitely broken. Either send it in to Sony to be repaired or buy a new PS3. Bummer. Sorry to hear about this.
