I purchased a Sears Counter Craft Crock Watcher crock pot at an Estate Sale, but there is no instruction booklet. It has low, high, and auto shift on the dial. Can you help provide some instructions for use? Thank you. Peggy Yeater

From a couple of different slow cooker manuals - most I looked at are the same:

When in the AUTO setting, the slow cooker will begin cooking on HIGH and then will shift to LOW after approximately 2 hours of cooking time. AUTO setting does not turn off the unit. Other favorite recipes may be adapted to the slow cooker. All times listed in the following chart are approximate and should serve only as cooking guidelines.

Regular Cooking Slow Cooker Cooking Times

1 (Low) 2 (High) AUTO

30 minutes 6-8 hrs. 3-4 hrs. 5-7 hrs.

35-60 minutes 8-10 hrs. 5-6 hrs. 6-8 hrs.
1-3 hours 10-12 hrs. 7-8 hrs. 8-10 hrs.

Thank you for posting this info on the crock pot. It's an oldie but goodie.

I have had mine since early 1980 for use in college dorm. Now retired, I still use mine frequently with excellent results, especially on low setting or auto shift setting. After looking over CR crockpots available now, I'm still sticking with my first choice. Just like Bama, it is the GOAT. Nov. 2019.

Is it possible to get a liner for a rival 1 quart crock pot model # 3200/3?

Although Rival does sell replacement parts, I could not find any listed for the model you have.

Perhaps you might like to look at their replacement parts webpage:

http://www.crock-pot.com/CustomerService.aspx?id=rpt

They also have a toll-free number, 1 (800) 323-9519.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

I am looking for an instruction manual for the New Home Memory Craft 4000. I am interested in buying a used one, but the owner doesn't have the manual and it is hard to test some of the stitches without...

There are a number of online outlets that have paper manuals for sale, for example, Sew4Less will sell you one for $10 plus shipping. Worthpoint apparently has a "free trial", which I presume lets you peek at the pages online. MasterSewUSA has the option of a $5 download or a $12 paper manual with free shipping, but I suggest contacting them to verify that the "4000" model they list is a "Memory Craft 4000" before you buy.

If I double a crock pot recipe (4lb. pork loin instead of 2 lb.), do I double the cooking time?

Somehow this problem ended up under Vacuums!

However- I will pass along what my wife says: "Almost 2 times as long"

Same with Turkey in the oven-- She takes the weight, and multiply's the pounds by 20 minutes on the Turkey-- Thus twice as much weight takes twice as long..

I hope this helps-

If not-- try 'Kitchen' or something closer-- or try going on line?-- maybe compare 2 different sized crock pot recipe's of the same or similar meat?

Plastic lid cloudy on crock pot, never put in the dishwasher

Magic Eraser works good to remove cloudy residue ...makes it much clearer, but you need to work it in the inside corner around a circular lid, otherwise you see the difference.
