Danby DPAC 8099 Moisture Removal problem

Unit seems to cool fine and work in all other aspects, except there is no moisture being removed. It used to fill the internal tank about once per day under normal usage, but now there is no water at all going into the tank. Is there a specific part or some service that I can perform that will restore this function? Kurt

If the dew point of the air in your place of operation is low you will not get moisture out of the air. Generally when the unit is first used it lowers the indoor humidity and you get a lot of moisture. Once things settle out the amount of moisture will decrease.

I have a Danby DPAC 7008. How do you remove the complete outside cover?

You either start at the back or side covers. There are screws hidden under plastic plugs. Once you pop the plugs out its easy. Some internal screws are hidden under the panels you remove.

Your manual as I looked up the model

Danby 5000 waters nor draining, should i drill a hole and if yes where.

The 5000 is designed to evaporate all condensation produced. When on extremely hot and humid days if machine produces excess moisture it is normal for machine to drip from back. No, do not drill a hole. Your unit is ok.

Kitchenaid French door refrigerator with freezer drawer in the bottom. Has been in storage for over a year. We plug in and the upper part works fine but we can't open the freezer drawer... Strong tension...

If any moisture was left in the unit prior to storage with the doors closed, it has caused the door tracks to become rusty and non functional. Refrigerator units should always be left ajar for many days following removal of power to allow the interior to fully defrost, and dry out. Extended periods of trapped moisture inside the unit will also cause corrosion on the aluminum coil, and cooling failure. Pleazer Appliance...

Unit does not cool with the exhaust pipe connection covered

you need to get the exhaust air out if the structure or it will never work, you can use regular duct from a supply house as a temp fix

Danby DDR401. Can't get it to remove moisture from the air.

Hi Fred, let me see if I can assist you. If your dehumidifier doesn't seem to run often but the humidity in the room is high, try adjusting the humidistat control on the dehumidifier to a dryer setting. If the dehumidifier seems to run constantly, but there's little or no water in the container, there may be a problem in the refrigeration system. Try cleaning the unit. If that doesn't work, you can't repair the refrigeration system yourself, you need a qualified appliance repair technician to do that.
