I need to buy one filter

We are also expierencing the same crackling problem. This machine is only a year old.....

anyone find anyway to resolve the crackling? I have not contacted Brookstone, but it doesn't sound too promising anyway.

These air purifiers are not cheap and they should back up their products.

I have the same problem. Bought the darn thing 2 years ago. Died on me after less than a year, got it replaced and then 8 month later had that cracking sound. My dogs hate the sound and run away, so I haven't used it for some time. I called the Brookstone help line and they were no help. What I learned from this. Never buy any Brookstone items, because they don't back up their products.

Mine was crackling, I guess, but I describe it more like a sparking sound. We kept cleaning the filters, but the "sparking" sound would not go away. Finally, we noticed that the area inside of the machine where you place the filters was covered in dirt. We literally swept it out with a vacuum hose, and the noise went away!! Unfortunately, now, only weeks later, the unit has stopped working all togehter - no lights or fan, which is why I was on here now.

I need both filters. I called the store (in Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL), and they said it was a discontinued model and couldn't help me. Then I talked to a manager and he said he'd be happy to help, he'll get an answer for me and sorry for the hassle, then never called back. I contacted Brookstone directly via email and they told me they are not available as seperate items. Apparently they're meant to never be replaced - well these filters looked pretty bad so I decided to try to clean them off, and now they STICK like they're rotting. Now I have a $300 paperweight. So what if you damage them while cleaning? Tough noogies apparently. I'm not finished with them yet, this is **** in my estimation.

I have two Brookstone Model #561274 Air Purifiers one of which has a broken Ionization Wire and would like to know how to order a replacement. From what I have read it probably won't be available.
