Hi I require a repair to my Tobishi plasma TV. Below please find the part name and number required for my Tobishi plasma television model no. TOB1PL42 Name of part: signal board Part no. Woosung Nextier Corp NP-42S4-Main-02 2005.08.18 Please advise whether you are able to repair this particular TV. If your TV displays TOSHIBA specific advertisements or "Retail Lock" at anytime when operating, perform the following procedure:

• Using the remote control, press? 1, 2, 3, 4 in this order. ...
• Perform a factory reset of the TV. ...
• Power on the TV. ...
• Be sure to set the Location option to Home.
• Continue with the first time setup.

the way how you described it looks like the screen is cracked but problem can also be in VPB (video process board).But without the model name its very hard to tell you more
