If CR2 battery went dead or if battery removed more than 1 minute, then time-date disappeared, but programming stays in timer indefinitely even if power is off.

To reset time-date. (From Section 5 in manual)
Press MODE until screen displays SET UP
> Press ON-OFF until HOUR shows ... use + key to change hour
> Press ON-OFF until MINute shows ... use + key to change minute
> Repeat same sequence for Year, Month, Day
> Press ON-OFF until DST daylight savings time ... use + key ... choose AUTO if area has DST ... choose MANual if areas does not have DST
> Press MODE to exit and save settings

Other programming steps are long.

Timer probably needs to be reset, or possibly timer has gone bad or battery has gone bad.
More information is needed.

Let's identify timer, and then possible solution can be given based on that.

Re Intermatic ST01C White Self Adjusting Wall Switch Timer Pgm indicates "SNST". I can't change it?

Last ditch troubleshoot for ST01C is to change CR2 battery and then reset timer.
Battery is inside compartment located below programming buttons.
How to reset: Hold down on-off button. Push reset momentarily. Keep holding down on-off until display shows INIT. Release on-off button and 12:00 is flashing. Reprogram timer.
If functionality is not restored, then timer is bad.
ST01C has 1 year limited warranty.

The advantage of Intermatic battery-powered timers is simply hooking up two wires. Plus the DST feature.
