You need a music converter the music files are most likly not .mp3 or .mp4 files thay are most likly .wav files and some pods cannot play this type of music, You can use windows media player to convert them for free then reload them onto your pod.
Search convert music using medial player and you will find direction on how to do this.
try to perform a backup using nokia pc suite format the phone using *#7370# (Warning this will delete all data on the phone) restore backup to your phone via pc suite the error should be gone now

If this is the original player that came with phone, then try powering down and removing the battery for about 20 seconds, then repowering. Phone may have gotten into a weird state.
If you are trying to load the player by clicking on the music file, the file may not be in a compatible format with Nokia's music play. If the file extension is not .mp3 or.wma(windows media player), then this may be the problem. I am not sure it will even play a .wma music file. Check manual, downloadable from net. Open music player directly by selecting it off Main Menu, then look in Options or Help fine in Music Player application.
Barring this, google on the net to find out how to Hard Reset your phone in order to reset it back to original mfg settings. The player file may have gotten corrupted. Note you will loose any files or applications you added to the phone since you received it.
If it is a Symbian OS phone, then you can reload the player application over a USB connection after downloading in to your PC, or find a Symbian third party player, often better than original player and will always play more sound file types.
