Your Yahoo ID is linked to a broad array of Yahoo services, from Yahoo Messenger to online games. A Yahoo ID must be deleted from a laptop or desktop, not a mobile device. Only get rid of your Yahoo ID if you're certain you'll never need it again, because there is no option to change your mind and get your ID back once it's gone.

Yahoo permanently deletes old emails when an account is deactivated, but you can resume sending and receiving email once you reactivate the account. b> Considerations b> Some premium services are not cancelled along with a Yahoo ID deletion. If you signed up for a paid service, such as Yahoo Mail Plus, the company recommends manually canceling the service -- independent of your Yahoo ID deletion -- to avoid future bills. Even though you have deleted your ID all together, there is no way to delete your ID from a friends list. They would have to do that themselves.

your yahoo id may have got deleted because of the lack of use.it will get automatically deleted.so you better make a new id.

Hi, Dear User, before you delete your yahoo account permanently, there are some things which you have to bring in your concentration
Once you will delete your yahoo account, you will definitely delete all your saved data on yahoo and all your emails and most important thing you will lose access all the websites which are associated with your yahoo account. So think 100 times before deleting it.

alright, please try this option, reinstall the yahoo messenger from your pc or laptop, pls download the messenger directly from the website of yahoo. this may help you out.

You need to do a google search for 'Yahoo Mail Error UDB:1'

Then the first result is a 'yahoo answers' question someone asked, the answer there solves it.

You have to delete the yahoo cookie from your browser.

I use firefox, so you go to Tools>Options>Privacy> button 'show cookies' delete yahoo cookie.

Go back to yahoo login page. Username and password.. and it will fix it.

I had the same problem.


It is called a UDB 1 error, often happens right after you change your password.

It's ******* pathetic. You can write an email from ANOTHER account to yahoo customer service for some slow, unreliable help though.

if u forget your password but if u have your yahoo id...just enter your yahoo id and click the link forget my password below the sign in tab..read the instructions there...u maybe ask about enter the code seen there and pets name and postal code...For the postal code, u just fill in the postal code of the area state location of which place or city u belong...if u fill up all the necessary information needed...u will be ask to make a new password...and then u can have a new password to your yahoo id..
