I have a samsung wave gt s8500.I was using the gprs on it since yesterday.But since today morning the gprs internet on it is not working(I did not change any settings).The worrying part is that when you try to surf the net even the E icon at the top for gprs doesnt even comes.That means it does not even try to connect to the internet

You have to purchase an unlock code for samsung wave gt s8500 to get unlocked. You wont get free unlock code for samsung like nokia and other phones. You can purchase the unlock code from here
Select your country and service provider then buy the lock code.

This may be happening because Samsung Wave GT-S8500 drivers are not properly installed on your Acer Aspire running Windows 7 64-bit (SP 1).
you can go to device manger in your pc and you will see the last option universal serial bus controller expand this and remove samsung related everything under this or everything under this and restart your pc. and try to connect Samsung Wave GT-S8500 again. make sure your pc is also connected to internet in case it needs something from internet it will do automatically or will prompt you do get something downloaded from online.
