The camera still functions but the 'screen' has been knocked and doesn't show what you are taking. As there is no viewfinder other than this screen its difficult to use. Can you tell me if there is any way it can be repaired and if so how much would it cost. The camera is about two years old.

Well, either the LCD screen or the ribbon connectors are at fault. Depending upon the cause, it could cost you between $50-$150 for a repair.
Why an inappropriate rating??? I told you what you needed to know!

Inappropriate is reserved for a solution that has absolutely nothing to do with the query..
Yes, I agree. The website should be a little clearer on what the ratings mean..Inappropriate and Thanks for trying are negative ratings..Ratings here can make or break a Fixya Expert...
Well,I'm not sure how much it would cost in Sterling, however, a new screen CAN be fitted. It would be best to contact an authorised service center. You can find one here:

However, most electronics repair stores can do this too, if you can't find a service centre thats close enough..

I felt it inappropriate because I am in England and you priced the repair in dollars! Thanks for the info you gave, but I wanted to know if a new screen could be fitted and at what price (sterling)and where.
