Boss Audio is the easiest in-dash DVD on the market to bypass; all you do is ground the ebrake wire. I recently installed 12 Boss Audio in-dash BV-7300's and did this to all of the decks problem solved. By the way I did this because they were in the back of limousines where the driver couldn't ever even see one of them while he was driving. I don't think there will be a problem, try it.

This did not work on my BOSS BV765B, grounded it to both radio ground and radio chassis, nothing.

I just had my boss bv7200 faceplate stolen from my car. I was wondering if the bv7300 will fit the base? Or if I can find just the bv7200 faceplate.

Www.DIYBypass.com has bypasses for just about every model radio you can think of. That's where I got mine for my Pioneer radio.

There is no video on my kenwood ddx8017, why? Do i have to bypass the parking break wire? which one is it, the solid green, or red with black, or pink?

If you want to watch videos on your unit it is necessary to bypass the parking brake wire from the Kenwood unit. The parking brake wire is light green and the best possible way to bypass the unit is by installing a toggle switch. The toggle switch should be a two wire device. Connect one wire to ground and the other wire to the parking brake wire from the unit. This will allow you to switch the supply on the wire to ground when needed.
Also, in some older Kenwood units you could just as easily connect the parking brake wire to ground and be done with it but, it does not always work.

Hello,my indash dvd player will not play,it says (cannot watch movies while driving) even though we,re not driving

i believe if you dont have the parking brake hooked up on your unit, you wont be able to watch any thing. check around online or your local audio dealer bout buying a bypass relay so you can drive and watch if you choose to. or hook that wire up right. hope this was helpfull

How do i by pass parking brake wire for indash dvd jensen vm9312 i'm puting it in old car no p.b.

Hi jason
To answer your question;
You do not need to connect that wire but you need to bypass the parking brake function in the menu.
Here`s the parking brake bypass procedure:
1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control

3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number
entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.

5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.

6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.

Hope this help Cheers

Lanzar not playing dvd's says parking brake

what you need is a toggle switch...
put the switch between the parking brake wire, and actual ground,
the black wire will work, just extend the wire so the toggle switch is
accessible, once you do that turn your indash on,
slap a dvd in it, then once it displays the parking brake message,
hit your toggle switch once, if it doesnt get it,
try it multiple times but with a second between clicks,
that should do it and please keep the eyes on the road. :]

Bypassing car dvd parking brake

Usually the wire should be grounded. Connect the wire to a ground point via a switch (is illegal to watch TV/DVD while you're driving)
