  • Anonymous Aug 02, 2008

I got the ATT RARZ V3XX and bluetooth H500 from ebay. The previous owner said they were working fine. I had ATT technician to unlock the phone then I can dial + receive phone but when I tried to set up phone to use H500, the phone could not find the bluetooth. H500 is placed next to the phone. When I press find it, it displays "discovery in 2-3 minutes" then went back to "Find it" . during that time, the light on H500 is till steading ON. Is there any way the ensure that the problem was not from the H500 ? How to test H500 ??

HOW TO CHANGE BATTERY HEADSET H500

Why do you think you need to replace the battery? A common sign that your Motorola Bluetooth headset needs a new battery is when you repeatedly hear five quick high tones in successive, one-minute intervals. Another symptom of a low or dead battery is when you try to scroll to Power and your headset doesn't come on. The Motorola H500 headset has a long battery life, but the battery eventually will go bad. Unfortunately, the battery is integrated as part of the headset's circuitry and should not be replaced by its user. Motorola strongly advises against trying to change the battery. Attempting to replace the battery voids the headset's warranty. By sending the headset to Motorola for repair, you can have a new battery installed without the risk of damage to your equipment.
But you can try the following at your own risk:
Locate the battery door at the rear of the headset and open it.
Remove the old battery. Install a new battery to match the plus and minus illustrations on the battery compartment. Shut the battery door back in place.
Select "Menu" on your phone. Select "Settings."
Select "Connection," "Bluetooth Link," and "Setup."
Select "Power." Select "Change."
Select "On," and then press "Select."
Press the "Call" button and hold it down. Release it when the LED light blinks.

I have a Motorola H500 BlueTooth headset. I'm trying to setup the headset to turn on and I'm trying to follow the instructions on how to turn on the device by holding the Call button to for 6-7 seconds but...

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H500 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.

How do you connect a Motorola H500 Headset to a motorola razor v3m

On your bluetooth headset, hold down the power button until the light stays on steady. (it will blink when you initially power it on, but continue to hold for another few seconds for the steady light!) Your headset is now in pairing mode.

On your RAZR, press Menu > Settings and Tools > Connections > Bluetooth > Handsfree > Look for devices. Your phone will then scan for any bluetooth devices that are in pairing mode. When your headset pops up on the list, highlight it and press ok to connect.

If the device asks permission to bond with the phone, select yes. It will then prompt you for a pin code. The pin will be 0000 .

Enjoy!
